What the Hell is Enoughness, Anyways?

And if you have enoughness how would you act?

Have you ever gotten caught up in the endless cycle of striving to do more, to be more, to achieve more? I have. Our culture even now, wants to be on the go. We tend forget we are enough, right now, right this minute. Doing nothing is sometimes what is needed. This doesn’t mean you won’t do something tomorrow or the day after. But it does give you permission to stop right now and appreciate you are enough. Right now, right this second.

Think about what you have done so far today

Did you wake up?

Take a breath?

Move your body out of bed?

Eat a meal?

Somedays that’s enough. Give yourself permission to appreciate the small things you do everyday.

Not every day is meant for you to conquer the world before bedtime. You are enough, without conquering the world before you fall exhausted into bed.

You are enough, even when you had a bad day. And bad days can suck. But no matter what happened, you are still enough. You will never get through life without bad days, but those days can’t diminish your enoughness, unless you let them.
